Superboy-Prime hated just how..vulnerable he felt without his powers. First there was the jungle thing and now this. But at least the castle compensated them somewhat with magical abilities. But he would much rather have his powers. He wondered just how much longer all of this would last.

He didn’t particularly want to wear the formal clothes that the castle provided, but there would probably be consequences if he didn’t. His formal robes weren’t all that uncomfortable, but they looked horrible in his opinion. He left his room and went down to the lower floors to reach Azula’s room. The trip would have been a lot faster if he could fly or use Superspeed. He certainly wasn’t going to ride a broom to get from place to place.

He checked the room numbers as he walked down the hall until he came to room 918. He knocked on the door and waited for her to answer.

Azula didn’t even glance at the door when it was knocked - she already knew who was there, and why, unless, by coincidence, someone else had decided to call on her. Instead, she glanced at her own reflection in the mirror for another moment, realigned one strand of hair, and put down her make-up brush. She reached for the wand lying on her dresser, and realizing her dress didn’t have a single place to hide it, she let it be. Azula was confident she wouldn’t need it.

There was not a single thing out of place.

Crossing the room to the door, noting how odd it was to wear heels, she opened the door and smiled, one of those devious ones, like always. She scanned him, curiously, so calmly, and then she said, “Ooh. Superboy-Prime. I’m pleased to finally meet you in person.”

So this was the man so many people were frightened of? He was… impressive, to say the least.

Superboy-Prime smirked as he looked at her standing in the doorway. “I’m pleased to finally meet you too, Princess Azula.” He had been looking forward to this. His expectations were high, so hopefully he wouldn’t be disappointed. If she hadn’t asked him to go, he just would have sat this out and stayed inside of his room. But Azula seemed cool enough for him to escort.

She said she was intrigued by him and wanted to get to know him better. And we was curious to see just how much she was like Alexander. And it was a good thing that they were heading to Dinner first. It would make it a lot easier to chat with each other. The Yule Ball was most likely going to have loud music and people that he hated.

“Just as pretty as I thought you would be.” He already knew she was pretty. When he first learned her name, he used his X-Ray vision to get a look at her so he would know just who he was dealing with.

How could Azula possibly be disappointed with her choice in company so far? He was taller than her, he certainly looked strong, and if certain people were to be believe, he had the power to crush worlds. All of that, rolled into one handsome package, and apparently with charm too. If this weren’t a week where people were stripped of their powers, and if she didn’t care about company, she might have pushed him around a bit, just to see what he was capable of. Azula liked people with more power than her in a different way than she liked people weaker than her. Azula liked to play with fire, and not just in the literal sense.

Her smile didn’t show teeth. She said, “Why, thank you. You’re quite handsome.”

Azula couldn’t lie, after all.

She stepped out into the hall and pulled the door closed behind her, with one hand. With the other, she took ahold of his arm, going right in close. Azula wasn’t shy about getting personal, now or never.

“So,” she said, “let’s be off. I hope the stairs haven’t changed around too much, or the ( ... )
