Rather than rushing blindly at the first opportunity, Akito seems to stop and think about his strategy for a few moments; it's a promising sign, and it improves Ophelia's mood a little. Just a little. After all, just because he has the sense to think before he moves, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. It does makes things look more hopeful, though.

He seems unsure of his sword, inspecting it for a few moments before he does anything, which is somewhat disappointing. But then again, that's supposed to be the point of all this. For Ophelia to teach him. Her smile widens slightly, and she easily steps aside to avoid the point of his sword as he rushes forwards.

If this were a serious battle, she would simply turn and cut off his legs right there; but she isn't stupid enough to forget why she's doing this. Instead, Ophelia watches him to see how well he recovers. It's best to test him -- his strength, his speed, his balance, basic abilities like that. Maybe he'll surprise her, maybe not. Either way, she is determined to do her best to have fun with him. This seems to be the first time anybody has fought him with a sword and, if that's the case, Ophelia will need to teach him more than just how to attack and defend. There's no point in knowing such things if he's likely to crumble after a few attacks.
