Who: Raph, Donnie, Zechs, and Elena What: Zechs's death. When: Tuesday really early morning. Where: The nineth floor. Rating: R, for death? I dunno. Just in case.
Zechs heard the commotion outside in the hallway and was loath to worry about it. But duty, or maybe his sense of curiosity, forced him to wonder if the noise was a fight or just some random monsters making a cacophony. His mind ill at ease, Zechs stood at the door with one hand on the doorknob and the other on the pistol at his side.
He leaned forward close to the door and listened carefully. There were a string of curses. It was definitely a fight, and most likely between a set of monstrous creatures and some hapless resident of the castle.
Zechs Merquise was a man of honor, and therefore could not let this go on without knowing if everything was all right out there.
Letting out a silent curse in his head, damning his heritage for all it was worth, Zechs raced out the door and brought his gun up in a flash. It was up and trained on a dog-like creature in a tenth of a second and a tenth later a perfectly aimed shot rung out. The creature fell away from the being slumped on the ground. The soldier saw another form get up from the ground and checked his aim.
"Are you all right? I think you two need help."
Raphael didn't even have the want to make fun of the obvious, instead merely glancing at the man with the gun before turning his attention to his brother. "Donnie!" he whispered to himself underneath his Nightwatcher helmet.
The turtle raced to his brother's side. That wasn't good, Raph thought to himself as he checked over the wound. Too much blood. He grabbed the first thing that came to his attention, Donnie's bandanna (Raph knew he'd get chewed out for this one in the back of his mind), and wrapped it tightly around the wound.
"Help me get him to safety!" Raph called over his shoulder, suddenly glad that there was actually another person here. He didn't care who it was, if he actually helped him safe his brother then he'd thank the man later.
"There's too many," Zechs replied, coming up from behind. Shots rang out five more times as he unloaded his pistol at the oncoming beasts. "Get him to my room. Bar the door. I'll hold them off."
Zechs threw his sidearm away and reached down the comforting grip of his saber. The shining metal was out of its sheath a moment later and singing through the air. The nearest monster howled in outrage at the sting the slicing blade left on its face.

"Right," Raph didn't object at a time like this.
