Dante finally got down the damn stairs. The whole castle was fucked up, and he didn't like it at all. Especially the fucking bugs. Good thing he has the skull-crushing boots on. Wading through that mess was just that much more fun. (Of course, waking up with a spider right about to land on his face and then see him panic and shoot five holes in it was pretty amusing.)
He didn't know what floor he was on anymore. It looked to be around the fifth, but he couldn't tell anymore. Everything was just too...violent. And that meant a lot coming from Dante.
He rounded the corner and saw a lump lying in the middle of the floor. What the-? He took out a gun from his back holster - just in case it moved and it was another monster - and pointed it at the lump as he moved closer.
But as it came into view, he saw that it wasn't a monster at all. Deformed, yes, and definitely misshapen. But that was no monster.
It was Kio. And he was dead.
