Barricade came out of "sleep" mode before the sun approached the horizon. His sensors watched the gaseous ball rise slowly into optical view. At the same time other sensors watched the bodily functions of his tiny charge inside the building he was currently parked next to. He waited patiently, as only a milenia+ year old sentient robotic being could, for the organic to wake up.
He even permitted her time to relax and fully "jump-start" her systems before reasserting his presence to her. About a human hour after Lana awoke, Barricade let his police sirens give off a short burst of attention-grabbing noise. If that didn't work, then he would continue once every thirty seconds until he thoroughly had her attention.
