Who: Susan Foreman and the Ninth Doctor.
What: The Doctor extends an invitation to talk. Susan has other ideas.
When: Around seven in the evening.
Where: The garden.
Rating: G, possibly PG for violence and British cursing.
He'd said he wanted to meet her -- grandfather, one of his regenerations -- said he wanted to meet her somewhere, and (presumably) talk.
She'd had half a mind to refuse, really. It would have served him right, after all, after what he did to her. But -- if they really were trapped here in this castle, her and him and them all together and no way out, then...
Well, she'd have to speak to him again sometime.
That didn't mean she had to roll over and play the dutiful granddaughter all over again, of course. There was nothing wrong with making the playing field a little more even, and let this one know, too, exactly where he stood with her. And she knows just the way to do it, too...
When Nine comes out into the garden, he'll find (after a bit of looking) Susan sitting by a large grouping of rosebushes, one of her shoes in her lap. She's staring down at it, and picking idly at the heel.
