Without even looking up from her ham and milk, the dark skinned woman raised a hand in greeting as she swallowed another bite.

"It took you long enough enough," she said when she finally swallowed. "Your steps were slow, especially for some one I supposedly taught. Though, with all this pent up anger weighing you down, I'm not exactly surprised."

Reaching back, she picked up a slice of ham and tossed it to the stunned Soi Fong. "Help yourself; there's plenty."

She let her golden eyes look the smaller woman over a bit. "I seem to have done an okay job on you it seems. You must have been important if I can't remember you, right?" she said, cutting to the chase.

She didn’t need to give Yoruichi the satisfaction or any more opportunity to ridicule her. And since she was willing to hold a decent conversation with her, she might as well use it wisely, not having her anger overtake her ( ... )

"He needed my help," she responded with a shrug. "And if I'd told anyone, it kind of would have ruined the escape. You're smart enough to know that, right?"

Ignoring Soi Fong's obvious uneasiness, Yoruichi took another large bite of ham followed by a giant drink of milk. "Take bigger bites; you look like a rabbit," she chided, when her mouth was empty.

After a minute or two of silence, she offhandedly pointed at the bag, trying, for Soi Fong's sake, to lighten the mood. "Chocolate"?
