Kaylee rushed about her room, simultaneously trying to make herself presentable and requesting her usual "tea time/delivery" arsenal to be brought up from the kitchen by the ghosts. Teapot (black with bamboo handle), cups (matching set with the teapot of course!), fruit (and plenty of it, including a bowl of her favorite - strawberries), a variety of little sweet cakes, utensils, napkins, and all the rest of the fixings. It was all properly, and quite prettily arranged on a dark wood serving tray with handles. It was definitely going to take some work to get that giant tray up the stairs ( ... )

Valentine leapt to his feet and bounded, not bounced, over to the door and promptly opened it. He looked her over, and immediately desided that she looked a tad bit more presentable up than he did. He was simply dressed in his black pants and loose, large, dark purple t-shirt. Asside from the changable expression - which he was certain he would never, ever entirely acclimate too - she was sort of cute in that adorable way people sometimes had.

"Kaylee! Come in," he flashed her a grin. "Have a seat, make yourself at home?"

He almost wished he had finished laying out his room properly so that it looked a tiny bit more respectable, more like the kind of a room a very important man lived in. He (and Kaylee) would just have to live with how it was now.

Kaylee was a bit confused by Valentine's mask. She brushed it off rather quickly though at his invite in to his room. Maybe very important men like him just did things like that. No matter though. That smile of his came through just fine for her, mask or no mask.

"Don't mind if I do," she said, giant cheery smile on her face as she stepped past him and into the room. She noticed the small table and headed over to it to set the tray down.

"You got a real nice room here Valentine!" Once she got the tray squarely on the table she turned to look at Valentine again. As she did so she discretely touched the back of her hand to the teapot to make sure it wasn't going to be iced tea on accident from her trip.

"I like the purple curtains. They're real nice. An' so's your mask. I like the purple stripe on it!" I bet he got that custom for him ... never seen any juggler with anythin' like it before. She motioned to the tray. "I didn't know what kinda tea ya drink so I brought this real nice herbal one that I think goes real nice ( ... )

Valentine waved his hand as if dismissing something; then spoke - with an Irish accent, no less (though who knew if Kaylee knew what Ireland was, Valentine sure didn't know himself, and she was some sort of space mechanic!). "Doesn't matter. As long as it doesn't kill me, it's perfect for the occassion."

He vaguely gestured for her to sit, then promptly sat in a chair himself, sort of half-straightening his shirt after sitting.

"Thanks. It's nice that someone else appreciates me tastes in decor - and I think you're the first person here to actually say a good word about me mask, other than I have one."

He did his best to seem some sort of gentleman, waiting patiently for Kaylee to sit and all - things like that.

"You didn't have too much trouble comin' here, did you?"

((OOC: You're forgiven, of course. :D No need to apologize, anyway. :P))
