It goes on for quite awhile, until eventually a woman's voice speaks up over the racket to address the book. Sounding rather detached, if a bit distracted.... So,

[That gets a snort from the woman once she catches on to what the AI was doing.]

You mean my services. I'm not a charity - but I won't be turning away anyone that needs my help either.

[Zigzag recites the question to Rain, who only gives a short pause before answering.]

Not much else to do around here, is there? I mean, I guess I could always just sit around and build stuff, but... [Shrugs.]

I don't plan on changing my habits just because I'm somewhere different.

[Zigzag repeats the word, causing Rain to quietly chuckle to herself.]

[She sends a subtle look towards Zigzag after the AI happily repeats the written words, before there's a sigh as she leans away from her current project.]

Forgot that curiosity tended to lead to a lot of questions. [Idly spinning the wrench in her hand, finally turning to look at the journal herself now.]

So, if you don't know Earth than that means you're from someplace different, right? Are you from where Miss. Euri and Canis are from?
