It goes on for quite awhile, until eventually a woman's voice speaks up over the racket to address the book. Sounding rather detached, if a bit distracted.... So,

[It was a really good thing she remembered that some people here didn't know what a car was, much less how the microwave worked. Otherwise she might have poked fun at him for that question.]

It's a place that hold vehicles.

[Going to take this one step at a time, yeap.]

Vehicles - or cars. They're a type of machine that you can ride around in.

[Then said with a smirk, half-jokingly.]

They go really, really fast.

[LOL SOB. You non-technology people are going to give her a headache from constantly trying to explain all this stuff.]

Err...okay. They're not dangerous or anything, right?

It really depends on the person behind the wheel, but other than that there's nothing you really need to worry about.

Plus it's not like I can drive it around just yet, anyway.

[She's only been working on the vehicle for less than a month, after all. Being able to wish for certain parts, however, did help to speed that process up a bit though.]

Yeah. It's nothing big, though.

Just an ATV - [No, wait. Drop the tech talk.] ... A speedy, four-wheeled vehicle that can fit two people.

Oh! So really small then.

Kind of, yeah. [Sounding a bit more delighted. Rain always did like talking about her vehicles, even if for a little while.] But that doesn't make them any less fun to ride around on.

And they're pretty good for racing, too.

Racing... [ thinks of horse-drawn carriages having a drag race....LMAO ]

Yeah, but since I haven't really run into anyone else that seems to know how to drive one - much less know what it is - there probably won't be very many chances for that here.

[Which is, personally, a bit disappointing.]

[Has no idea who that is, but she'll probably make a point to keep an eye out for him anyway. Having one person from the 'future' is a lot better than no one at all, after all.]
