Lente's Point Expedition - Day 3 (A Discussion)
[Lente looks oddly passive, her expression completely blank. Human emotions are exhausting to convey, and she has grown tired of trying after just one morning. These people are curious and blundering, perhaps to bit too eager to please, and liable to put themselves in danger in the future. Despite rumours of their experiences, they still seem to remarkably naive to the greater world out in the Beyond.
Well, she wasn't a leader of her people for no reason, nor did she become an expert in survival by chance. The decades have hardened her, and so she must be willing to share a bit of that expertise.
Lente crosses the meadow to them and lifts her voice. She still carries the bow in one hand, and the letter is still sticking out the back pocket of her short trousers.]
Come. We will sit around the meadow and share stories over lunch. We both have much to learn.
[She seats herself in the grass for the picnic-style lunch.]
I will warn you, too... many have you have been deprived of what you wish to know, and so I will try my best, but there are still a great many things that must be learned rather than heard, if they are to be properly understood.
