[Naruto is sitting in the hallway of the fifteenth floor near Gaara's old room, staring at Gaara's pet porcupine which is now... his... and is scuttling around in front of him on the floor. He sighs, trying to figure out how to pick him up without getting hurt]

Does anyone here know anything about porcupines?

[Sasuke will just be hanging around in Naruto's room waiting for him to get back. No real point in finding him in a hallway while he tries to corral a porcupine. So he's on the couch reading a book since he's just that boring.]

[he finally decided to just carry him on top of his journal for now XD all the way back downstairs, shifting around to open the door with some struggle; he doesn't notice sasuke yet]

Welcome to your new home! [sets him down on a pillow on his bed for now before smiling to himself and turning-]

[walks over with the pillow he's resting in the center of, plopping down next to Sasuke] What're you reading?

Spikey? [Just.....Whatever. He won't even try with that.]

[But once he's over, Sasuke tilts his head to the side to look over at him, shifting just slightly to be an inch or so closer.] Nothing important.

[leans toward him naturally without even noticing, rubbing the porcupine's nose gently] You're always reading something, though. Is it for fun?

[He shrugs.] It's to pass the time.

Yes! I know Allen, and he was serious. [pause] Though I kind of like "Spike" without the "y" more. It makes it sound cooler.

[glances over] Gaara used to read for fun, too. You guys have a lot in common, you know.

[rolls his eyes] You're both quiet and moody, and kind of prudish and think reading is fun. And have really sarcastic humor.

I was kinda worried you'd be gone too, though. A lot of time in the past, when one person left, a lot... seemed to, too.

[lets out an amused sound through his nose before leaning back into the couch cushion, letting the porcupine just sit on the pillow in his lap]

[he eventually rests his chin on Sasuke's shoulder, looking over to steal a peek at his book and... because it's comfy, shh]
