[Cue a knock at the door that reveals John with a bottle of scotch and a little gauze to help her clean up some. He feels...minutely bad she got beat by Dean. It's his kid, after all, and Sam does like her when he's not all Lucifer-ified...]

[scowls at bleeding!Ruby...the bleeding part causing the scowl as he reaches out to almost touch her jaw with a soft hiss]

[she almost caught that smirk, and as his hand goes toward her she tries to fight back a flinch, mostly because well despite getting the shit beat out of her being her plan, she does still know the Winchester in front of her hasn't ever been overly fond of her]

[Alice sits, the other two just kinda go attack each other in the other room, as Ruby makes her way to the couch]

[Moves into the room and doesn't really mind overactive doggies...in fact, he scratches a couple of ears before Ruby herds them off to be dogs elsewhere in the room.]

S'alright...they're jittery is all. [Sits beside Ruby and whistles to Alice, patting his leg to beckon her closer so she can sit by him if she wants as he turns to Ruby and sets down the gauze he brought along...clearly he'll need more than just a Band-Aid for this.]

You're a demon. [shrugs, as if that's explanation enough for his animosity. She is, however, a demon and his son's...girlfriend. Yeah, that still leaves a bad taste in his mouth, but family loyalty and all that.]

Little help with a first aid kit? [to nobody in particular...but lo, the castle comes through with one that's resting on the back of the couch where it wasn't a moment before. Snagging it up, he opens it and fishes out some rubbing alcohol before handing the bottle of scotch over to her.]

Yeah, well I can't do anything about that anymore. [holds still while he cleans up the cuts that come from Dean still being able to hit like a brick]

Lesson learned, don't make a deal to sell your soul. [winces and hisses] Apparently it always fucks things up. [which she figures John can understand]

Dean's plan was to use me as bait, it wasn't too bad of an idea. Except he was jumping the gun a bit. I told him before Lucifer would even try to go after him, for me or anything, he'd have to actually care about me.

This is phase one, though it's a bit more painful than I had planned for.

[John's hand pauses, just for a second...because yeah, he's starting to...then goes back to cleaning her wounds with a light, practiced touch]

Thanks for the tip, but Phase Two is getting myself on Lucifer's radar, which hopefully this whole mess will do. Otherwise at least it kept me out of a Devil's Trap for the rest of the week.

[snorts in silent laughter and shakes his head, reaching up to catch her chin carefully...the flinching makes it hard to work, darn her]

This'd be easier for you if you were human, I figure. [turns to the first aid kit and pulls out some butterfly bandages for a nasty gash on her cheek] Look left and hold still.
