[there is the sound of a pen tapping against paper. This motion feels oddly familiar, but she just sighs] Great job Yukari, yeah, you're doing just swimmingly. Minato-kun.... left, came back, and what were you doing? Waiting like a little girl by his bed. And what have you been doing now that he's back? Nothing... You're useless... again.
[one more sigh] Maybe it's the castle. I've just been in the castle way too much lately. Maybe I could get a job in town or something? I don't know, something! It's not like there's anything much I can actually do at the clinic. Other people have stronger healing magic, and I'm not actually a doctor. And now that Owen's gone- [pause, and she jots down a list of books in the bottom left hand corner]
I can keep studying, knowing the theory is better then nothing. I can't keep depending on other people. I've.... All of this made me realize, I use Minato-kun as a crutch. I thought I was stronger, that because Dad died I- I was stronger! But no, it's the same thing as before. I can't do that to him.
But does that me we should- [there is a much longer pause] I'm no good at this, some girlfriend I am.
[there is another long pause, as if she's debating writing a filter. But instead she uses the time to get some cheer in her voice]
Hey, so random question, are there any places in town that are hiring? It would be nice to work for someone who lives in the castle, no offense to the town people or anything. I'm eighteen, hard working, and pretty open to anything. I'd just like to know what's out there, you know? Get out of the castle a bit.
[she taps her pen for a moment, presumably looking over at a flyer on her desk] Date auction, sounds interesting. Or more like something from a school culture festival.
