the second sunrise

Aug 20, 2009 20:03

[For anyone in the vicinity, there is a big (all right, kinda average sized), white wolf napping in the flora populace of the garden. It has been a long day filled with exploring and running around. There seemed to be no sign of the silly prophet or her little bouncy travel companion anywhere in this place. Perhaps this "Paradisa" had yet to bring ( Read more... )

[Her ears flick forward to the sound of a vaguely familiar voice; one eye opens and Amaterasu looks up at the boy without making a noise. All Amaterasu really does is wiggle a little on the ground, readjust her head on her legs and closes her open eye before going back to sleep.

Feel free to stay there or wander on off, Akito. The wolf has no real plans of waking up for a bit.]

[She enjoys her nap times - maybe because there doesn't seem to be anything at current (nor that she can relatively sense) that's threatening people or this world. So while Akito is putting flowers in the wolf's fur she just continues to doze, maybe having happy doggy dreams of being in the Celestial Plain and frolicking through the large fields there.

About five or so minutes later the wolf startles away with a slight twitch of the body. Her head raises and she looked over to the person at her side and yawns.]

Rrrr..

[Sarah is doing what she does best - wandering. The library kept her attention for a while, but the weather was just too nice to not take advantage of. When she stumbles upon the white wolf, she can't help but smile - she's a gorgeous creature.

after simply watching for a few moments, sarah has to speak up. perhaps it was a talking wolf, and how would she know if she didn't wake up?]

... Hello?

[There's no response for a moment other than the movement of flowers due to a moving tail. After a brief few seconds a pair of ears perk forward and the wolf raises her head, yawning a great big yawn before blearily looking over towards whoever had stumbled over and brought her from a relatively decent slumber.

Making a quiet sound of something that could be likened to that of sleepy greeting in the girls direction, Amaterasu keeps to a steady gaze on the girl. Watching her carefully. ]

Hello there. [She moves a bit closer, cautiously - just in case - and sits cross-legged on the grass.]

You're a wolf, aren't you? [yep, stating the obvious] Can you talk? I would expect talking animals in a place like this.

[She still hasn't gotten used to just how cautious people have been around her... Though it's not like she can fault them for it.

With a tilt of her head she continues to watch and shakes her head to the question. No, she is unable to talk. However! Bowing her head to dip her muzzle into the flowers, she pulls a piece of paper that had been there - it's best not to ask where she got it - and motions for the girl to take it.

She at least knows one other way to communicate.]

[Well, this is a new one, a wolf. Wybie pauses in his wandering of the garden to walk over, glancing at her]

I don't remember anyone saying they had a pet wolf in the castle.

[By this time? The wolf is really only resting her eyes and listening to the sounds of the garden. The sound of someone walking nearby and then stopping causes her ears to perk; the fact that there is talking following said stopping causes her to raise her head a little and glance over in the noise's direction.]

Rrr.

[She seems to take slight offense to being called a 'pet.']

[Uh oh. That's the sort of look the Cat gives when the word "pet" is mentioned around him. Wybie gives an apologetic smile. Don't eat me]

Sorry. Are you a resident?

[To the apology the wolf's expression softens a little, maybe even getting a bit of a wolfy smile? Maybe.

She nods. Yes, a resident.]

[despite the extreme difference in size, there is a gutsy dachshund peering suspiciously at her]

[Amaterasu takes notice of the other dog and her ears perk forward and towards it. It looked nothing like the dogs she had ever come across back in Nippon - no, this one was smaller and a bit more cute and Amaterasu wondered if it would be okay to feed it.

She still had a few bags of animal food (read: meat) in her possession and this seemed like a good time to use it. Perhaps it would get her some Faith points too.

Standing slowly, the wolf walks cautiously towards the Dachshund, giving a little sniff of the animal, before offering some meat. Think of it as a token of keeping calm water under the bridge for this meeting.]

[normally this one here wouldn't take to others kindly, but an offer of food at the first meeting must mean something, right? the dachshund sniffs at the meat, before taking a small bite...

hey, this is good.]

[Oh good!

That went over well and Amaterasu tilts her head a little as she settles back into a sitting position to watch the little dog eat. Was this another resident of the castle? Was he from the town nearby? Or did he belong to someone here in the castle?]

[See dog. See dog sleep, see Colette spaz out a little. She can't help but in closer, smiling]

A doggy!

Rrr...

[Amaterasu's ears twitch and her tails flicks into the air, over flowers and against her hind legs. People surely did seem to enjoy taking walks in this garden didn't they? Raising her head slowly and cracking open her eyes the wolf glances in the approaching girl's direction.]

[a growl.... she suddenly felt really bad, after all this poor dog had been sleeping. But she looked so cute... Colette settled for clamping down on her lips and waving meekly crouched in the grass as Amaterasu looked up]

[Amaterasu watched the blond girl for another moment or two before yawning. Had she accidentally scared her? Or maybe came off as a little to bothered by being woken up?

Ah that wouldn't be good!

Pushing up to her feet and padding over in a half-walk half-trot towards to girl, closing the gap between them and giving a light nudge of her head to the girl's arm. As if to apologize and greet her at the same time.]
