[Okay, so in retrospect maybe it's not the best idea, and he probably should have asked Luke first, but it's better than going down to the library on his own with that guy on the loose

[He looks closely at it, putting one gloved finger on the screen.]
Huh. Well, there's no telling with different worlds, but I'll see what we can do. [Yes, he just said "we", although there appears to only be one of him.]
Time gaps don't really help, either. [he laughs, but it's more of an exhale than an actual laugh.
The "we" bit gets him curious, though, so he uses his Transer-free hand to pull his glasses over his eyes. It's unlikely this person has an EM alien with them, but it doesn't hurt to check... ]
[He hunches down to get a better look at it, slipping a few of his slim lockpicking tools out - what can he say? Breaking an entering in the 26th century looks a lot like fiddling with electronics, and diagnostics and identification are pretty much the same thing.]
Hmm....
[He prods around a bit. Also, he may not be an EM alien, but this guy totally has an AI living in his suit.]
[Trying to stay as still as he can while the Transer's being prodded at, he watches through his glasses as the rainbowy outline of something else pulses around York's armor.]
So, um... there's another person in there, isn't there?
[Oh, hey, almost like at home. Subaru gives a small wave with his free hand, smiling a bit]
Hi! I-it's... it's the glasses, aheh.. [he glances down to his Transer, where the functions are gradually coming back to life. A name- Subaru Hoshikawa- flickers into the corner of the screen- after all, the Transer's supposed to hold all of his identification back home.]
Thank you! [He tests out a couple features, prodding at the bottom touchscreen- everything seems to be in working order, though a couple screens are blank- that's to be expected, though.]
Do you guys do this kind of thing often? I mean, that was really fast!
While repair is not his specialty, York has had much experience in adapting existing devices to suit his needs. He has an innate understanding of such devices. [Yes, that's Delta sounding proud of his partner.]
Well, I mean, it's not like hotwiring a ship or anything.
That's so cool! I've.. I've never met anybody who's flown a space ship before. [Well, except his dad, but he'd rather not think about it.] Was it hard to get into the computers? Hacking into one of those sounds like it'd take some work.
Yo! You the one who was asking about the CastleNet?

Y-Yup, that'd be me... Thanks for coming.

Ha! Neat. This what you want to connect?

Mhm. It hasn't been working properly since I got here, but if there's wireless internet up, it... might be able to work with that.

How'd you--?
I mean, uh. Yes. D?
[rawr hologram flicker on] Hello! York, if you flip the polarization on the sensor, it should complete the change.
Huh? Oh, right. [He pokes at something and poof! Your Transer now has CastleNets.]

A-ah! It's working!

All right! [THAT WAS PROBABLY ONLY THAT EASY BECAUSE HACKING INTO ALIEN TECHNOLOGY WAS HIS JOB.]

You-- You mean a space ship? You actually...?!

Only a couple times. And they're mostly all the same nowadays, anyway. Long as you can get into the computers, they're pretty easy to fly.
