It took me months to get Bella to trust me--let alone sleep in the same room without me.
I hate the fact when I arrive to see her, she cries, but when that dog shows up...
She's going to have to make that decision again. She's going to feel that hurt, pain, and suffering... And I have to stand by and watch it happen all over again. I would do anything for this girl, but I don't want to see her cry anymore. I don't want her to have to choose all over again.
Why did you have to bring her from that point?

Hello, Jacob. Did you and Bella have a good reunion? I hope so, only for her sake.
Bella comes from a time--that I'm sure you've all ready figured out--that is far behind where you and I come from. I think for her best interest, we keep talk of the future and what happens out of her mind. While I think she has a right to know, I don't think she should follow what we say just because it happened all ready. This is a very delicate situation.
If you must respond, please write me back. I'll be staying with Bella for the time being, and would rather her not hear what you have to say.
Thank you.
[ And after all that, you can hear Edward let out a deep breath as he forgets the journal is recording him. ]
