017. the things we see
[so Peri has decided to go downstairs into the 'public' parts of the castle: she's gotten bored to death of lying down trying not to incur another electric meltdown, and plus she's hungry. All day in her journal, she's heard the sounds of people being delighted, amused, bemused, and horrified by their wishes, and this has given her some hope that hers might actually come true, but she's not holding her breath]
[Just before she ducks into the kitchen, she thinks she spots a flash of bright color through the windows of the massive front doors. Double-takes--no, it couldn't have been ... but there it is again! And this time it is definitely the garish primary colors she had grown to known and love. Hoping against hope, she walks over to the doors to crack them open and take a better look--and gasps in surprise and delight]
[There's the Sixth Doctor, in all his technicolor screamcoat glory, pacing back and forth across the front lawn with his umbrella open to shade him from the sun, humming pleasantly to himself. The joy that lances through her heart is so acute she accidentally zaps her hand on the brass door handle, but she doesn't even feel it]
Doctor? .... [overjoyed yell] Doctor!!
