[and down in the kitchen, you have the former hero, Almaz! he briefly opens the journal to dictate for a second]

Hey, does anybody want to go and-

[and he's interrupted as, in mid-sentence, he finds himself a few feet shorter... and a stuffed penguin]

WH-WH-WHAT THE HELL, DOOD!? [and yes, his voice does sound higher and... more prinny-like]

[Sorry, Almaz, Raine looks kind of amused at your predicament.]

Now what was I just saying about people turning into penguins if they weren't careful?

[this ttly isn't amusing ;_;]

But... I'm a prinny, not really a penguin.

...Dood.

The similarity is rather striking though.

[Pardon her, she's going to try to...poke at you a bit.]

Is a prinny a native of your world, then?

[just... don't throw him.... he'll explode]

Well, erm, no... they're mostly in the Netherworld, actually.

[this probably won't occur to her because she's not physically very strong...no guarantees though]

Y-Yeah. Well, not normally, but my boundless desire to face the Overlord let me in! [or... a butler... whichever]

It's not unlike Niflheim, then - a world accessible from my own, but inhabited by strange, dark creatures.

They're...well, they appear to be people in penguin suits, but in reality I suspect they're some sort of hybrid. They live in the region around the Ice Temple, and their quills have the property of protecting from the cold.

Well, it's certainly inhabited by strange creatures all right....

And I don't think prinnies are really made for cold weather, dood.

Now that is odd. What is the purpose of shaping them like penguins, if they're not suited for cold weather?

I don't know, dood. But these are just the bodies for sinners who need to repent for their sins in life.

[Raine laughs a little at that.]

Now, you didn't do anything sinful, did you?
