I know her, she's a good friend actually. From what I recall we had a thing, and then things got rough and that was that. Showed up here, figured we were still just good friends.

[He's quiet for a moment as he thinks.] That's tougher, yeah. Guess it depends on how flexible and open-minded you're willing to be about it? Like, assume worst case: say you start a serious relationship with someone else and the next day, she shows up. Think you'd be able to juggle that?

Yeah -- that's my point exactly. Mean I was fine, until I found out. Mean Montana could've dropped in and I wouldn't have known until she told me. Now I know, and is that gonna make me an ass if I try to actually live a life here? Cause what if she never shows? What if she shows and she doesn't even remember me?

[quietly] Living your life freely isn't the same as being an ass about it. Sure, she might be pissed if she found out - until she really realizes what losses are, here. Nobody gets off easy. Nobody.
