[Nathan was actually looking for his mother! After lunch with Claire and finding a restaurant in town that had a small room off to the side they put their name down for they had to actually get people to show up! He smiles when he sees her and settles in the chair next to her]

[looks up and gives Nathan a small smile]

So far so good. It's been a while since I could just sit and read.

It does sort of get away from you, even here. [a pause]

Pete's been here for two years, Claire and I thought about having a small gathering for him tonight. Think you could make it? It's last minute, I know.

[nods] Of course I can. I find myself with nothing but free time, as of late.

[A silver-haired half-elf is there, too, muttering things to herself as she searches the shelves for some books on cartography. Having just returned from the trip, Raine wants to draw a better version of the map she'd made of their trail.]

[looks up a bit at the muttering, watching the elf for a moment, before going back to her book, not wanting to disturb]
