We really do need a rift detector here don't we... I tried to see if any of our scanners picked up anything when the children vanished, but I didn't see anything trackable.

Are we all okay after having loved and lost?

I'm sorry to hear that Ianto, that must not have been easy to go through. [knows that his own child was with a stranger, and it does sort of make him wonder about a few things]

If you need time, you know it's yours.

Did you check with any of the residents that went on that trip out to wherever it was they went? Might be some good information there as well.

That is true, I'll conduct a few interviews.

Speaking of talking to the inhabitants, you may find some of the newest arrivals quite interesting.

I've been speaking to a few of them. They appear to be from the future, whether ours or another reality is unclear but they do seem to know a lot about alien technology.

They all belong to something called Starfleet. By the sounds of it a military organisation.

Commander Spock in particular seemed highly knowledgeable. He's part alien himself, I believe it was Vulcan.
