This is what you should do.
Swordsmen at the door repel overzealous enemies; casters hit them with a column of fire; scouts escape through the new path; gunmen provide backup. The scouts should have the most destructive explosives that can be built with the expertise of all of you. Since their job is mainly to outrun rather than engage enemies, they should be the fast above all else. They should find the enemy base and destroy it with the aforementioned explosives. Failing that, they must irrevocably cut off the reinforcements.
