[Emil's out enjoying the weather; in the end, he decided not to go on the exploration trip. Watching all the animals out and about reminds him of all the young monsters he made pacts with back in Aselia.]

Emil squints his eyes, leaning closer just to see if he's not dreaming. Sure he's had his fair share of monsters back home, but this animal-thing is different.]

He-Hello.

[He doesn't exactly know if it can talk, but he's curious.]

[Fox catches onto the boy's staring before he speaks, but he looks like he's used to it by now.]

Hey there.

[He takes a hand from one of his pockets, giving Emil a lazy wave.]

[He quickly waves back.]

Taking a walk?

Yeah, it's nice to be out without worrying about messing up the fur around here.

How about you?

[chuckles a bit]

Ah-- Well...I-I think I fell asleep while I was lying out here. Thankfully, I don't think anyone noticed.

Nothing wrong with that, unless you've got somewhere else to be.

No, not really. Ever since the exploration trip began, I've been pretty free, but I know it's not really an excuse to stop my studying and training.

[wolfisdumb]

Where are they going, anyway? Everybody just kinda.. upped and left. Or that's what it looked like.

[laughs]

I think they went to see what's beyond-- [pause] --this. Supposedly, all powers and technology stops after a certain point.

[wolfisdumb]

Huh... a barrier? That'd explain a few things.

[eightpacts]

I guess so. [pauses for a moment] What do you mean by that?

[wolfisdumb]

[Fox holds up his arm- there's a complicated-looking band on it, full of buttons and dials.] I can't get communications to work on this thing. It's supposed to be able to send and recieve from system to system, but so far... nothing.

[eightpacts]

[Oh hey, that's kind of cool-looking.]

Ah...I guess that does sort of explain it.

It's a pain! My team's probably wondering where I am...
