Day 3

Apr 25, 2009 16:27

[Kitchen-goers may notice a red light on the end of an antenna, poking out of the slightly-open fridge door. Olimar is inside, dictating to his journal:]

Even on an ordinary day, the variety of foodstuff in Cair Paradisa is astounding! I estimate over thirty condiments of varying composition, as well as a plethora of grains, vegetables and meat products. The food sources of other species are a never-ending source of amazement. I am tempted to sample some of these exotic delights ... No! I must not! Such wonders are seldom friendly to my gastronomic disposition. I will only observe.

[Rustling and clattering bottles.]

There is a fungal growth here, tenaciously clutching at life! I shall call it the Verdant Myceold. It appears to be of the pin mold family, but it has distinctive fluorescent colouration, so I will classify it for the time being as veridia zygomycota. This fungi grows on dairy ... ah ... protein-rich ... hmm. It grows on foods of dubious origin, and prefers the cool, moisture-rich environment found in the back of refrigeration units. Its resiliant root structure holds the mass together against even vigorous jostling. Fascinating! If I explore further, I may discover more specimens!

[OOC: Open post. You know you wanna ask him WTF.]
