I spent a lot of time with Leonardo, but he was a bit of a nutter, really.

To be honest, I think most geniuses are nutters, even the ones from hundreds of years ago. At least, that's how they come across in books. I dunno, though, might be different with first-hand experience.

[Amused chuckle] You can say that again. Leo obsessed over the tiniest little thing, then forgot all about it once he got bored of it.

God, I'd love to have met him. Talking to him must've been completely brilliant.

Hmm, he certainly was a delight. Completely batty, but still a delight. I enjoyed his company. I have the original sketch of the Mona Lisa back home. He preferred it to the finished piece. He assumed that no one but her husband would ever see it.

I wish I could travel in time - mainly so I could sit down and talk to famous mathematicians.

Most of them were the distracted types, and they didn't really get their fame until after they snuffed it.

Yes, it's one of my most treasured possessions. Sentimental value and all that.
