After having a conversation with a boy here, who is under a loss, I realized that I have no idea really how any of this works. I'd really like to be able to avoid losses though apparently that isn't possible. A-Ah, no. I know I - um - Marian-san i-is like. . . It's like saying "Miss" or "Mrs." It's. . . It's a sign of respect where I'm from. You use -chan for friends and. . . And the only time you don't use honorifics is maybe with family or people you are very, very close with.
