[she missed how he smelled, like his favorite drinks and stage make up and fashion magazines, and more than a lot of home]

We're just missing Charles now.

[Lets her go kinda reluctantly, mostly because he knows he has to at some point]

I did hear. Well, no doubt he'd show up eventually, eat everybodys food and probably start a fight, all in one day. [Chuckles softly] So how've you been, Honey? Seriously, can't stress how good it is to see you again.

[she looks up at his face and she knows. She just knows. And they've always been honest with one another]

That look's because I was dead, isn't it.

[Winces. Ouch, and he can't hide from Fred. Everyone else? Sure, easy street, but never Fred]

Yeah, Hon. You've been gone a while where I was pulled out. [Soft frown] Someone told you about that, huh?

[when he makes that face she wants to hug him again]

No one needed to tell me, really. I have all the old journal entries. But besides that, it is sort of the standard reaction. Most people get hi, how are you. I get 'you're not dead'. It's ok.

I'm used to it now.

Sorry, Sunshine, it's not exactly the nicest thing to have coming from your friends, is it. [Offers her a small smile, because he's Lorne and it's his job to keep everyone happy] But hey, you're here now, right? That's worth everything in the world.

[Because she's gotten sort of matter of fact about the whole thing. It's the only way to get people to talk about it]
