Foam and glue, like someone recommended. Took forever to wash off my hands, though.

Could you maybe plaster over the foam now? And then paint that as needed?

Or you could ask the castle to do all of that for you.

I planned on ripping it all down when the babies were gone, but permanent is looking better and better.
