[Yuan and the Peace Patrol]Hello, and I will get right to the point: I would like to know what's become of the prisoners who were inadvertently freed while we were in Paris. Did they reappear imprisoned in the Dead Zone, or are they still free ( Read more... )

[He's not a teacher, not by far -- he's not sure how he would train anyone, let alone a little girl. He's been trained by so many people, but he doesn't know if he has it in him to teach another.

So, after some contemplation, he replies:]

I cannot promise the same leadership or method that Altair may have used, but I would be honoured to try to follow in his footsteps. And your "moirail" is Solus, correct?

[pause, wait, back up a sec ------!!]

Also, I am Altair's descendant?

It's Sollux, but yeah, that's him. Thank you so much!

And yes? At least that's what I assumed. Or is he yours? You said you're related, anyway.

Sollux. My apologies, these names are difficult on my tongue. When would you like to go?

It seems I have uncovered some new truths in the future, then, as I know nothing of our connected lineage.

Anytime's good. I could even do it now if you're ready. [And then Sollux could come whenever he felt like getting off his butt.]

And yes that's quite likely! The last you that was here was pretty old, so you've got plenty of time to find out.

I shall ready some horses, and we can ride for the Dead Zone.

[Wherever that is.

Interesting.]

I never would have considered it, but I suppose our line is long...

Oh - you really want to go to the Dead Zone right away? It's like a hundred miles out. I thought we'd just work in the courtyard or something.

You do look just like him, you know! I ... guess you've never seen him to know that. But you do, right down to the scar.

[Surprised]

I did not know it was so far. You are right; a courtyard will do for now.

[Except that's curious.]

Even the same scar? That would take an extraordinary feat of luck...

Or circumstantial simultaneity. I'll meet you there in five? [She doesn't need five, herself, but.]

Yes, but the odds were against it.

Five minutes it is.

Okay, see you there!

[All right! Aradia closes the book, quickly equipping her SHANKHOOD and matching vambraces. She's got five minutes to impress him - probably less, actually, especially if she doesn't cheat with flight or time powers. Good thing her respiteblock is on the first floor.

She bounds out of her room, down a short hallway and across the lobby, out the door and into the courtyard. A good spot, a good spot... aha! She quickly climbs up a tree in view of the castle gate, and perches on a branch a little ways above the lowest one. It's not the best hide spot ever, but she thinks she will maybe get the jump on him nonetheless! Or at least points for trying.

... Man it is hard to hold this pose for more than a few seconds.]

[Meanwhile, Ezio saw fit to just WALK down to the courtyard, strolling in plain view. He is, however, completely aware that eyes may be on him -- those he trained with would have done no less.]

[Ahaha there he is there he is. Okay, fake air assassinate in three, two - wait no Altaïr almost stabbed you that one time you tried to sneak up on him. You decide you should probably not attempt to jump Ezio from above. (Anyway he's not under the tree yet so that train of thought is slightly pointless!)

Okay. So, she'll try and gauge if he knows she's - Jegus her legs hurt already how is it possible for a single position to be so uncomfortable. Maybe if she just... shifts a little yeah her foot slips.

She falls off the branch with a yelp, is too startled for a second to remember she can fly, and lands flat on her back. THUD.]

[Ezio turns his head to look, just in time to see Aradia hit the ground. Ezio bites back a laugh -- that'd be mean, as comical as it was -- and he makes his way over to offer her a hand up.]

And that is why we do not hide in trees, novizia. They are wont to disappear out from under your feet.

[She accepts his hand up, but looks terribly embarrassed.]

Owww. Now you tell me.

[He practically lifts her to her feet with that hand. Puttin' dem muscles to work. Up you come!]

What, Maestro Altair did not inform you?

[Whoosh! Aradia's kind of a twig anyway so it's pretty easy.]

I never tried it on him! Or... with him. I wasn't going to try and jump on you or anything.
