We do...right over here. [He shows her to a display case] Quite a few with those same medallions, though for a petite thing like you, I'd stick with a smaller drop earring.

I don't usually get to wear jewelry. [picks them up, comparing them to her hair and complexion]

It's hard to choose.

I think these with the hearts suit you rather well, but it's all up to you. [He lazily points to a pair]

Why don't you wear much jewelry?

Oh... I love these. [hold them up just to make sure they'll look good on her]

My brother never buys me any. He's really clueless when it comes to gifts. So he said I could come in here and buy something for myself that I liked.

Well, it was certainly generous of him to offer you that much. Better than no gift at all.

Oh, he did buy me something. He just knew he'd be no good at choosing jewelry.

[He laughs] Generous and self-aware, then.

Excellent choice, my dear. [He takes them and walks them over to the counter] Ah, did you want to wear them now, or shall I box them up for you?

I think I'll box them for now.

[lord_wizard]

[He nods] It will feel more like you're actually opening a present when you get them home...[He winks a little in an exaggerated way, just so it wouldn't be flirtatious, and goes to place the earrings in a small black box]
