[So, Ryotaro's not a big fan of Christmas. That's why he plans on just getting himself a hot chocolate from the kitchen, bringing it back up to his room and hanging in there for a while. Best way to avoid all the festivities and reminding himself of...well, worse times.
On his way down though, watch as his neat little plan goes to shambles. One of

[Damn, a kid, really? Oh well. He'll just have to keep looking after she's gone.]
Outside? Why, yes, but I had no playing in mind. I've never seen snow before, so it'll be an interesting experience. Would you care to join me?

Felix has a similar purpose. He has to make a decent showing to keep up with Crowley and the others, after all. He isn't overly concerned about winning, though. The fun of this game is in the playing.
So he's doing his own prowling, keeping an eye out for opportunities to do just that. To most people it might just look like he's lazily taking a stroll with one eye half in a book.]

Oh! I'm terribly sorry. Let me get that for you.

[He smiles politely. Either the guy is clumsy or a jerk - either way, Felix is more than happy to let him bend down to pick it up.]

[He'll crouch down, pick up the book, and go to hand it back, but seeing a fairy nearby was enough for him to consider prolonging the moment.
So instead he'll tilt it slightly upwards and take a glance at the cover, accompanied by a brief chuckle.]
Oh, for a minute there I thought I recognized this. What is it? I'm an avid reader myself.

[That's the sound of clumsy, plinking piano in the background.]

Just a little personal project of mine. You could say I was inspired by the spirit of the season.
Hmhmhm.
Still practicing hard I hope?

I met a friend of yours, by the way.
[There's something amused in her tone. Maybe 'friend' isn't the right word.]

And is that so? How nice to hear. I hope the two of you got along well.
[Now he's just trying to think...he doesn't know anyone in the castle yet, personally. Who could it be...]
Reply
Yes, that was probably it.
He turned his head, hearing someone coming down the hall, remembering that face.]
Ryotaro, was it not?
Reply
That's right; though I'm afraid your name escapes me in return. I apologize.

[He nodded his head in greeting.]

[He'll nod his head back in return; it was a familiar custom to him.]
And what has you roaming these halls, if I may ask? Enjoying the festivities? Or maybe just passing the time?

But, his was a versatile mind, and, well, curious to say the least. Certainly the oven fascinated him, and the stove. So if Ryotaro did make it down to the kitchen like he had intended, he would see Vanyel peering into the oven with its light on, fascinated as the muffins he was making began to rise.]
Truly, who would think of such a thing? There must be a way to replicate it with our magics...

But...seeing this man, completely fascinated by an oven, well, he couldn't ignore that. It was so unusual. He'll approach cautiously and slowly, in an attempt to be polite, eventually addressing him, just to get his attention.]
Um...excuse me, is everything okay?
Reply
Really, he needed to get a handle on that..]
Oh yes, everything is fine. This is just my first time using the oven.

[He'll crouch down beside Vanyel, looking into the oven too, then turn his attention towards the stranger and smile.]
If you need some help, I can...um, well, I'm not a great cook or anything, but I can certainly work an oven.
