Oh? Do you know much about codes, then?

I've had occasion to use them previously.

What kinds of codes?

Morse code, primarily.

I've used that for. This kind of code is similar, isn't it?

It is - more may be able to answer this than to other codes.

I thought so. But it's good to start with a simple code in cases like this.

[And it wasn't like with Hattori, when he knew that the other detective could keep up with whatever code he used. Most people could barely understand such a simple letter replacement as Morse.]

I like codes and riddles. They're lots of fun to solve!

They're fun too, but I haven't seen as many of them.

On that you need only ask - there are no doubt some known here, and if not you may be able to find them in the library.
