[It is early morning, and Lenneth is drawn outdoors to stare at the sky before she finally speaks. She's not pleased but not displeased either. Her face is a careful mask as she removes a slender helmet and fingers the feathers, and there's a clear view of cobalt blue armor

[and guess who else is outdoors early in the morning? Maya always gets up early, and today just felt like a day to go outside. So after putting on a scarf she heads out... to hear someone talking? Huh, sounds like she just arrived. So of course Maya is going to head her way]

Did you just wake up here?

[Lenneth turns towards the young womans voice and musters a smile, for all her concern regarding Midgard.]

I have, yes. Which is odd because I don't recall feeling the least bit tired.

[optimystically]

Yeah, it's pretty weird. But don't worry, it's normal here.

[deeeeep breath] Okay, I'm going to tell you some really weird stuff, but I promise that it's the complete truth, okay?

I'm certain that it can't be any more 'weird' than what I've spent my life doing.

[optimystically]

[it's hard not to be distracted by a sentence like that, but she'll stick to her train of thought]

This is a magical castle called Paradisa. It grabs people from all kinds of different worlds and traps them here until it sends them home again. You don't have to worry about people noticing you're gone back home, because time pauses until you go home. Let's see... the castle wipes your memories when it sends you home, so if you meet anyone who recognizes you but you don't know them, then you were probably here before.

Time ceases to pass in our home realms?

[That was a great relief to her, considering how much work she had ahead of her back in Asgard.]

And how often do people recognize someone who comes here?

[optimystically]

Yep. It's probably more complicated than that, but that's how I imagine it.

It depends, I'd say it's about half-and-half. No one from my world was here for a long time, but a lot of other people that I know have friends here.

[virginwarrior]

Probably much more complicated than I could understand, even if you explained it.

[Lenneth smiles a bit and nods.]

I hope that one of your friends join you. A familiar face, I imagine, is always a welcome sight.

[optimystically]

Exactly, sometimes simplifying things is best.

[Maya can't help but notice that this girl... has a really adorable smile. It makes her smile back] It's okay, sometimes it's nice to not have people from your world here. You don't have to worry that they'll go off and get into trouble, and you can make new friends.

Indeed, it is.

[Lenneth hasn't really ever thought of herself as attractive or adorable. Blame the whole "Death Goddess" thing.] That's a very good point. I'd worry for my friends constantly. Human life can be so fragile.

Human? Does that mean you're not human?

[virginwarrior]

That's right. I once slept within a human but that is the closest I have come to being one.

[optimystically]

[asdghkasdghkagl there's a noise as Maya kind of.... makes a strangled surprise noise]

O-O-Okay! Cool... uh, what are you? I mean, if you're not human.

I'm a goddess, the Creator. I once held the duty of a Valkyrie, however.

[optimystically]

Woah, a goddess! [that is so cool asdgkhasdgah definitely distracts her from the awkwardness]

I feel like I've heard that name before... what does a Valkyrie do?

Valkyrie's are the Choosers of the Slain. Warriors, mages and the like that have proven their worth are chosen by us to fight for the gods.
