I read back, and I saw that I arrived here in Paradisa nearly a year ago the last time. My stay wasn't very long but it does make me wonder... Why do people arrive in Paradisa when they do? I've seen times when many people show up around the same time, and sometimes they come in slowly over several months ( Read more... )

[Jade was tempted to say his usual line of getting everything figured out before he mentioned his theories, but it was best to try to figure things out with a helpful person, especially when trying to figure out a place like Paradisa.]

[There's a pause in the writing as Jade tries to think of the simplest way to word it so the person on the other end doesn't have to read forever.

'I think my theories are more common sense-dictated than any real thorough thinking. With the presence of the losses, I assume Paradisa consumes whatever it takes from those of us who are pulled here. The more people here, the more 'food' Paradisa has. As for when someone is pulled here; thus far it seems to be at random.'

I don't believe anything in magic is ever "random". It may seem like that to us but it may only be because we haven't learned the pattern yet.

Oh, no. I think a lot of people are trying to understand this world's mysteries. I know Lady Galadriel for certain, but there must be others as well.
