[Shiki wakes up in her bed feeling slightly drowsy, but content and rested. It's quite a nice feeling, really!

...And then she feels her hair. And her skin. And tastes the inside of her mouth. And, having experienced this once before, she has a sinking feeling that she knows what this means. She practically lunges for her journal on the nightstand,

It's...a few days after Halloween.

[stalkershiki]

[You can't see her face fall as she hears this, but you can definitely hear the disappointment in her voice.]

O-Oh. Wow. So I've been gone for a while and I've... I've missed... Halloween...

[siebter]

That's bad...right?

[stalkershiki]

Yeah. It's one of my favorite holidays... I love dressing up for it and everything, you know?

[siebter]

Oh. I'm sorry...I didn't dress up either, but maybe another time.

[stalkershiki]

Yeah, but this is, like... that special time of year that we get to do it, you know?

[siebter]

It is?

[ This would've been his first Halloween. ]

[stalkershiki]

Y-Yeah. Do you not know what Halloween typically is or something?

[siebter]

I never heard of it until I came here.

[stalkershiki]

Really? But it's, like, the best holiday ever! It started with people dressing up to scare off evil spirits, but now we just get dressed up for fun, and it's awesome, and the costumes are really super cool!

[siebter]

Do you know all about it?

[stalkershiki]

Well, probably not all about, like, the history of it and all... but I always celebrate it and everything!

[siebter]

Oh...what's it like to celebrate it?

[stalkershiki]

Well, kids usually get dressed up in costumes, and then they go around from house to house and get free candy! When you get older it's less acceptable to trick or treat, but we still have fun going to parties all dressed up. Plus, there are "scary" things everywhere, and carved pumpkins, and it's just awesome.

[Shiki is many things. The best at describing things, she is not.]

What kind of scary things...?

[stalkershiki]

Oh, people put up fake cobwebs, and fake spiders and things like that. Nothing that's really scary or anything!
