[In the lobby this morning there are long tables set up, sort of in the style of build-a-teddy-bear. Except what needs to be constructed aren't bears... There are big shapeless man-size dolls, along with stuffing and various decorations to give the 'doll' a personal twist. On the first table there are the empty cloth men, on the next are various

[So, Bucky's hanging out in the lobby, contemplating those dolls. He is incredibly tempted to make a Zola doll, or a Red Skull doll. Incredibly. In fact, he might just go do it.]

Isn't it just a waste of effort if you're going to burn it anyway?

It would make me feel better, anyway. [And that enough is worth the effort.]

[He finally looks over at her, not wanting to tempt fate and make the Castle activate his loss.]

'Don't like' isn't strong enough. It's more like 'hate.'

That's one way to get people to do these. [picking up an empty doll and examining it]

The thing is, would it do anything to the actual person you burn? [From what he's heard about this Castle, that might be entirely possible.]

Nothing bad happened during the Diwali thing, so maybe we're due for something horrible.

Do bad things happen as often as everybody says they do? [He just got here, so forgive him for being skeptical. All he's seen is the crazy Diwali festival.]

If it's not forcing you to do something embarrassing and silly, it's throwing monsters and child kidnappers at you.

Wonderful. [It's already made him do something embarrassing.] So, after the nice festival, we're expecting some sort of monster?

[a bit amused] That's the spirit.

Damn it all. [Of course there would be monsters. Not like he'd already had enough of strange before he came here.] Well, might as well enjoy the weird festivals while they last.

How long have you been here?

About two weeks. Not even a month yet. I have to admit, it hasn't been boring yet.
