Log 032: Halloween Event

Oct 31, 2011 15:23

Today is "Halloween", correct? The day were one can dress up as creatures and obtain sweets...

[a small pause and then the AI laughs.]

Maybe I will go as a zombie. There isn't much of a physical difference between myself and one, from all the material I have gathered on the subject. I just need to lower my intelligence functions beforehand.

[and Kite ( Read more... )

A "zombie", huh? Those are like humans who got virus-infected, right?

[Granted, his only exposure to zombies had been playing some Xbox games with Sam Flynn....]

Correct. Though the material I have does not seem to stay consistent with how the infection is applied.

All Abraxas had to do was touch someone. How do zombies infect?

There seems to be a number of ways of infection, though a common one seems to be bitten.

My data isn't complete, hence the stitches and other glitches in my systems. A few people here have compaired my apparence to a zombie before. [and when he couldn't talk it was even more so.]

--So, like vampires, then. Why are Users so obsessed with putting things in their mouth?

Ah, I gotcha. On us, it looks a lot like a User's "scars" when that happens.

I believe it has to do with the 'fear' of being eaten alive or something close to it.

Really?

Yeah? I guess they're more afraid of that than being consumed quickly from the inside, like a virus from my world would do.

Yeah! If you've got someone skilled in code manipulation, they might be able to make it better or fix it. Usually, the User's the only one good enough for that, though.

Maybe it is almost the same?

Mmm...I know someone who was good at it.

Maybe. Not sure why it would involve putting things in their mouth, though.

Did you ever ask them to take a look at your code? I mean, I understand if you didn't. Some programs like the individuality scars give.

Food? [yes, Kite is seriously trying to understand cannibalism.]

No. Besides you have a point Gibson. I find I have grown fond of my appearence.

...That's disgusting and inefficient. [He doesn't understand it either, brogram.]

As long as it holds you together, yeah. Structural damage is something you should always take care of.

I agree. Ah...do not think that most people would like being eaten.

That is what the stitches are for. [and the fire.]

...No. I guess I just think of it as weird because we don't really eat things at all.

Good. So you're stable enough, right?

True. Though I have to wonder why humans do not see animals eating other animals as 'frightening'.

I am, bar if someone manages to pull hard enough on one of my body parts or another loss.

Beats me.

Hey, if someone rips off your body parts, I'll rip off theirs. Stitches or no.

Ah, um....well, thank you but I am sure that won't happen.
