I guess it's just for talking! And writing, too, but I wasn't really expecting anyone to see the stuff I put down on it, so it doesn't really make a good diary.

There's ways to make it private, but you'd be better off using one that's more mundane for your personal thoughts, yes.

Nothing more difficult than words saying so at the top of what you want kept private. A child could do it.

Oh, so... if I said something like, "I want this part to be top secret, only for me to read!" it'd do it? Wow.
