It looks like a couple of people have stayed in the same place, but the majority moved. Floors have thirty people instead of twenty, now.

Why did the castle do that? [ why does she always ask these things as if people can read the castle's mind... ]

Housekeeping, probably. There were getting to be a lot of floors that were only half full--it did this a few years ago, too, when the towers appeared for the first time.

It probably likes squishing us together because it gets more amusement out of random encounters.

Not the weirdest thing it's ever done, but you gotta wonder where the others are now, you know?

Beats me. But all my stuff was in my room when I found it, so I guess it just moved them around like puzzle pieces. As for the extra furnishings...?

Sort of? One time when the castle was freaking out we found all these rooms with like...souvenirs from some of the changes it had made.
