I think there's something wrong with a society that teaches people to be "less vulnerable" instead of "less malign."

Not likely. It's fine to talk about these things in this situation, but sitting and talking about feelings is my least favourite part of the Peace Patrol. There's little time or point in it outside the "office", anyway.
