Hmmm? [He sounds a little drowsy, but he's heard her and there's the sound of bed sheets rustling as he shifts upright and answers her. She's actually caught him drifting off with the journal open on his lap.] Fred? What time is it?

[There he is. She holds her journal close, voice hushed.]

...Wesley.

What is it? Is there something wrong?

[He doesn't understand why she's talking in a whisper. Is she in trouble?]

[There's a moment of silence. When did Wesley get so slow? He was normally better at keeping up]

Of course there's something wrong. Why do you think I messaged you?

[Wait, now he remembers that she was supposed to be having a night in with the ladies. Hopefully everything's all right.]

Perhaps you ought to tell me.

[There's a huff of sound, short and dismissive. Isn't it obvious?]

This isn't about telling. [Clearly] It's about tucking...

Oh, I see.

[He's relaxing now, realising that she's not in any immediate danger.]

You need me to tuck you in, do you?

Well I don't really know. You're the expert, aren't you?

[As always, her accent is a little bit more evident after the companionship of Kaylee and a particular amber liquid]

Weren't you having a ladies' sleepover tonight? Perhaps one of them should tuck you in. As much as I'd love to don my cape and hat, I have a feeling I wouldn't be welcome to crash it. Lord knows what I'd be interrupting.

[He's definitely switching to tease mode now.]

Kaylee's already been tucked in. We didn't talk about it. [You know, with their busy schedule and all] But I could tell.

[There's a small pause while Fred considers her surroundings. It isn't so much sleeping as it's ...not being able to stay awake anymore]

And Ollie already did the interrupting part.

Isn't it my turn, anyway? I'm starting to lose track.

[He's also starting to suspect that she's had a few. Putting it mildly.]

Have you been dri- wait, what? Ollie interrupted you? From the shooting range?

Your turn?

[She might be losing track of the conversation]

Ollie's got a tower. I have a key to it. Oh, and crystals. And a costume, even though I haven't seen it. I'm just taking his word on that one.

But I guess he could have a shooting range too.

To be tucked in.

You're not making much sense right now. I suspect that tequila may be the culprit.

I'm not the one that got lost looking for a glass of water.

[She's making every bit of sense. Clearly]

You needed to sleep. It was for the best.

[She would have insisted he sleep in the bed with her and at that point...it wouldn't have been a good idea.]

You needed sleep too, not a sofa. Now who's not making sense?

[She's clearly pleased to have caught him]

It can't be your turn if you're not there, silly.
