[TODAY, PARADISA, you get a mixed post, one that is not only dictated, but somewhat handwritten. Sort of.]
... Hey, guys! I was thinkin' that maybe I should explain 'bout Pokemon, since a bunch'a people here either think that I'm a crook, or an animal thief, or somethin' like that... and there're a whole lotta things that I gotta explain!
Anyway, I'm Ash Ketchum from the town of Pallet! [He pauses there, before laughing sheepishly..] Though that prob'ly doesn't matter to a bunch'a you, since y'guys are from different worlds. And Pokemon're the creatures from back home -- they're kinda like animals, or pets, y'know? But I didn't come up with the name Pokemon - 's just something that everyone calls 'em nowadays, 'specially since we have Pokeballs. Pokemon is short for Pocket Monsters, and well, I guess people did call them monster back then.. but now we call 'em Pokemon!
[THEN, A VERY SLOPPY SKETCH OF THE THREE KANTO STARTERS: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander are shown, with arrows pointing at what type they beat.] Now, Pokemon have a whole bunch'a types! Usually, a trainer starts off with either a grass-type, a water-type, 'n a fire-type! Now, these arrows I drew... they show what type beats what! A grass-type beats a water-type, a water-type beats a fire-type, 'n a fire-type beats a grass-type! Of course, there're more than these three types, but every type has their own weakness.
[NOW, HAVE A DRAWING OF PIKACHU IN GRASS] But sometimes, people who don't start with these three usually go out in the wild-- 'n they befriend a Pokemon! Y'see, all my Pokemon're my friends, and even though people'd think that putting 'em in Pokeballs 're wrong, but --
They actually don't mind. Most of 'em [... he hates to admit this, but he has to!] actually followed me, and well, they kinda like their Pokeballs. If they didn't, I wouldn't keep 'em in there, see? 'Cause Pikachu's not in a Pokeball! Oh yeah, that drawin' up there of a weird yellow rodent in grass is a Pikachu!
Basically, I catch Pokemon -- 'cause I'm a Pokemon trainer -- and then battle in Pokemon gyms to earn badges! [HAVE A SKETCH OF A POKEMON GYM, in fact, it's a sketch of brock's gym, the pewter city gym] This's kinda what a gym looks like. Basically, it's a place where trainers battle a gym leader, which's kinda like a special type of trainer to prove that you're worthy of bein' a Pokemon Trainer. You need to get eight badges [LOOK AT ALL THE PRETTY KANTO BADGES, GUYS] 'n then you're worthy to enter the League.
... Uh, I think that's all I gotta explain for now, but if y'guys have any questions, I'll answer 'em!
[OH WAIT] ... And if y'guys meet with a weird looking cat, [more drawing!! have a drawing of meowth, guys!!!] like this, y'gotta stay away from him. He's a part of a gang of crooks called Team Rocket who steal Pokemon and do no good! I know, 'cause he's from back home, and he's been tryin' to steal Pikachu for a long time!!
