[There's some quiet page flipping, followed by the crackle of a small fire and the sound of the wind in the background. It's eerily quiet for someone who's supposed to be outside, though ( Read more... )

[Here Ino have a gruffer then usual voice coming through, because guess whose going through that exact feeling himself?]

What keeps me going? The simple fact that out there somewhere is the answer to all of this, why now, why here, why who I care for. And that I would, never be allowed to live it down by that person if they were here and saw what I did. [Which is the only reason why he is only brooding in his room, wrinkled clothes and all.]

As for the ice cream, an ice cream truck appeared in the lobby earlier this morning, with flavors named and modeled after the residents at the castle.

Do you really think there is an answer? One that someone here will find someday?

[a pause .... well, no weirder than pound cake day, she guesses] Are they any good?

There is always an answer, no matter how hidden, no matter how secret it appears to be at first, there is always one. Even if it takes years, there always is, so yes I do believe there is an answer to all of this. [Because not having one at the end of all of this would crush him.]

It, depends on whose you taste. Some I would avoid merely because of the flavor, others, because of the aftertaste. But there is enough good flavors to enjoy them.

How many years should it take? What if after ten years, there's still nothing? Twenty? [She can't even imagine being here for that long, but ...]

That's ... good, I guess. Any terrible ones to watch out for?

I have lived for 160 years, in that time mysteries have taken half a century even to unfold before my eyes. No wait is to long for answers, not if you care to figure out the why. And so what if it takes too long? It gives you something to work towards, a purpose.

A Miss Haruhi Fujiowka and the Eleventh Doctor's as they both taste like fish to start with.

Half a century in your own world, sure. But what about here?

... Fish ice cream? Seriously?

It is an additional ten years in a body that does not age. Yes it does like to, do things, however can you say it is much better in your own world, with what occurs?

And yes, seriously, fish ice cream. And there is a tea one, the Fifth Doctor's, which has celery in it as well.

... In our own worlds, we're just a speck. Everything will keep on moving no matter what we do, or what happens to us. But here, we're the focus. And this world knows just how to tear us apart.

The tea sounded good, but ... not so much on he celery.

In our own worlds what we do has a reason, what we do over all effects the world at large. Here yes we are the focus, but it is not so different, we effect the world by it's reactions to us.

Yes, that was what he said as well. There was one that had an irony aftertaste, and another with some sort of candy or so that was to hard to bite through. I would tell you the names however I currently do not have my notebook with me.

How long have you been here, again?

It's fine, I probably won't have any. [Unless there's some left in the fridge when she gets back or something ...]

Six weeks or close to it. I should also note that part of my reasoning for wanting to stay here is that at least I am alive here.

...Would you, like me to save you any? [He has a fridge in his room, and he's feeling nice. Ino hadn't heard his outburst after all and he likes her well enough.]

There are good things about being here, too. But it's not all fun and games, not when you've been here for years.

[surprised by the offer ....] I ... guess, if it's not any trouble.
