As if things couldn't get odder in the castle, a vendor is parked in the lobby offering ice creams which are named after castle residents. I don't know whether to be rather amused or mildly disturbed by this. I checked and, yes, even though I've moved away from the castle and am currently residing in town, there is still an ice cream flavour

You really are an arse. We're trying to help your brother, despite everything that has happened.

Mm, yeah, see actually believing that requires a little something you gave up. [ his trust. ]

Trying to take the higher moral ground, or play the victim here is laughable, Damon. You tried to eat me. That I'd preemptively dosed myself is beside the point. What you did to the others is unforgivable.

But this isn't about you and me. It's about your brother and his feeding problem. If you can't see that...

He violated my mind but we're still willing to work with him, with or without your approval.

And I'm not willing to let you work with him. Here's my plan, Wesley. How about you give me samples of your blood, then I'll whip up some nice artificial soy crap for you to eat every day? How's that plan sound?

Damon

I believe it's his decision. If you're so determined to talk him out of it, be my guest. We're not going to force either of you to comply. And we're already going to be using samples of our own blood in the study, or did you just gloss over that part.

If you don't want to see this as an offer of an olive branch and an attempt to help your brother so that he won't endanger himself or others, then so be it.

Your blood in your study. Not in the hands of someone who tried to kill you. So, here's my thought. Stefan's so far beyond fucking delusional as he is right now that he doesn't know what he's saying. He's not participating in your little experiment, and you can keep your fake blood. We'll take care of Stefan my way.
