There really oughta be some kind of hotel or something for when things like this happen. Unless there all ready is one, in which case there should be a big posting of it in the lobby, or some kind of brochure when you arrive. "Welcome to Paradisa, we'll take you in when the castle goes crazy."

A lot of people move into town to try to do that. It doesn't get you away from everything, but it's a start.
