There really oughta be some kind of hotel or something for when things like this happen. Unless there all ready is one, in which case there should be a big posting of it in the lobby, or some kind of brochure when you arrive. "Welcome to Paradisa, we'll take you in when the castle goes crazy."

I'd take awkward glances and bad customer service over living inside my head--literally--for a few weeks. But, maybe that's just me.

Heh. So would I, but a lot of the time whatever is happening here can affect the town so you might not get away from it.

It's so weird how this place works...

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, no matter how long you've been here.

How long has it been for you?

Been here since last July.

That's a long time away from home.

I know. [ beat. ] Not the longest someone's been here.

I can't imagine it isn't.

Does it ever start to feel a little like home?

[soldarius]

For some yes, but not for me. [ pause. ] I wouldn't ever.

To be honest, I don't think I couldn't either. They say home is where the heart is... and my heart definitely isn't on board for this place.

We've been forced here against our will. I don't blame you.

I'm not used to giving up so quick. If there's something holding me somewhere against my will I can usually handle the situation, no problem. It just doesn't make any sense.

There are usually expeditions every few months. People venturing out to discover ways to get back home.

Well, at least it's something.
