sixth examination

[ It was late evening. Anyone that was around in the kitchen would notice one Helen Magnus sat at the table, half heartedly eating a strawberry... or two. The bowl's rather full; she's been there a while but doesn't seem particularly interested. Why? Being hurt by one of your oldest (and best) friends is a mood killer ( Read more... )

[She's lucky he's even paying attention to his journal with it being written. But at least she had and well now he's just to tired to give a damn to talk so he picks up a fountain pen and starts to write, his hand writing a little more jittery then usual.]

Did you specify which Doctor or did you just open it to them both?

I didn't see the harm in allowing both of them to know.

[A sigh before his writing gets a little more sloppy.]

Then you will have to explain to the blonde one what is going on as I highly doubt the bowtie one would have with Dr. Song currently on her...loss.

I will. [ Along with no doubt having to expand her story, also ]

To the entirety of the patrol? I am not currently in castle, but I'm part of the organization.

I wasn't certain of who to contact.

Yuan is currently the head of the organization, yet any one of us can file reports with him or assist others in filing reports. We share information, such as we can. There's no given person you need to contact; if information will need to be passed on to specific persons, we'll make sure it does.

Alright, thank you.

I presume you know then of Nikola Tesla?

[Gods, she wanted to avoid this conversation so much]

...What do you want to know about him?

If it would be possible to have him released provided that he were carefully watched.

[Suck in the anger, Mal. Suck it in]

You speak as if he deserves it. You haven't been here long, Helen. You missed what he did.

He doesn't deserve it, not for what he did. While I may not have been here I am aware of what he did and why. I wouldn't be requesting his release if it weren't for something important.

Ah, yes! It's a pleasure to meet you, Helen. Yes, he's told me about your situation. I'd be more than happy to see if there's anything I can do to assist you. I'm in room 1102, you can stop by any time you'd like.

We could discuss Nikola Tesla as well, if you'd like. I'm on the Peace Patrol as well.

Its a pleasure to meet you, and thank you. I could stop by now unless it's an inconvenience?

That would be helpful.

Oh no, it's not any inconvenience at all. You can come by, now, of course.

Alright, I'll be there shortly.

[ and with that she closes her journal, taking the long walk up to room 1102, which takes longer than she'd expected (although since she's currently pushing herself on no sleep she really shouldn't be surprised.

When she arrives, Helen gives a sharp but short knock on the door ]

[since he can see both filters, it's not hard to put two and two together - and quite possibly confuse her a great deal]

James Watson spoke to me, yes, but certainly not about Nikola Tesla ... why, what's happened? I know he was one of the kidnappers ...

Am I correct to assume that you're one of the Doctors?

There's a situation that's arisen, one in which I need Nikola's help on. I'm hoping that there's the possibility of having him released.

Quite correct! The Fifth, actually, though some find it easier to simply call me Lakare.

... Released. Hmm. [he frowns. they still haven't sussed out who was being puppeted and manipulated by Riful and Legato, and who was acting of their own free will. it's a tricky situation]

I'm afraid you'll need to speak with Yuan Ka-Fai on that matter, he's the one in charge of the Peace Patrol, where he's being held. Though I'm a member, I don't have the authority to make those sorts of decisions. I will ask, however ... do you think he did what he did of his own volition? Or do you think he participated in those kidnappings under some form of duress?

Its a pleasure to meet you.

I will do, thank you. As for the situation... Nikola wasn't manipulated but there were reasons that pushed him to this. I understand the situation fully and I'm not excusing what he did, but I wouldn't be asking this without good reason. I can assure you, and Yuan, that Nikola will be watched - he won't be getting off lightly with this from me.
