Well, I can tell you what I know, though my own knowledge of where we are is fairly limited. Before I begin, however, why don't you tell me what you know, so we're not re-treading old ground.

I know this place's called, uh... [Hold up!] Paradisa and that it's some sort of magic castle that grants wishes- and they have ghosts! And I think that's it.

That's...actually about the gist of it, yes. [He laughs.] The castle's ghosts seem to behave in a subservient manner, as in they'll carry things around for you, and are actually the method by which many of the wishes are fulfilled. You can ask for most anything, save for anything of large size or particular complication, and I believe you cannot wish for weapons, either.

Has anyone spoken to you of losses, yet?

Okay, I think I get it! [It makes some sense to him.] And... I don't think I've heard 'bout losses yet.

Well then, allow me to inform you. When you arrived here, something was taken from you. Sort of a...price of admission to Paradisa, if you will. It can take the form of a memory, or a skill you had, or it can take the form of an object that was precious to you. There is, unfortunately, no way to get back what was taken.

Additionally, there are smaller losses, usually involving some change in your physical form or behavior, that seem to happen at random. They usually last about a week, or two, usually.
