[Felix is startled for a moment, and backs up a step. This does, however, seem to confirm the fact that this isn't the real Zelman, which is interesting]
[there is an unintelligible whisper, nearly a rumble, from up above that echoes down through the chamber. Zelman's gaze flickers there instead, looking up at his bizarre ceiling.]
Should I? What's up there? [He wanders a bit more, scanning the curious tangle of writings on the walls.]
It's a rather curious symbolism. Fire. Flame. Light. It's usually passion or greed - the need to consume or devour everything in your path. It also gives in the form of heat and light, as long as you respect it.
Easy. Necessary. A forest will choke itself out if it's not cleared for new growth.
[he steps forward, flickering oddly, and reaches forward to drag his finger across the front of the other man's chest. tiny sparks leap from his skin at the contact, but do not catch.]
[then his hand hovers there, as if he's quite forgotten it's attached to the reset of him. which he might have; things are weird in here.]
Most people exist right on the edge of it, you just have to give them a reason. You are not so special in having reached that conclusion. Things just add up that way.
That doesn't mean he can't stop himself from snooping. It's easier than thinking too hard about what was awaited him upstairs.

Nothing in particular, no. Anything interesting.

Then tell me: do you seek warmth, or to be consumed?

That very much depends on who's providing. I want both, though sometimes I'm sure that I only deserve the latter.
It's easy to burn, don't you think?

Only logical.

Maybe. But how logical is it to chose it for yourself?
